Pantone's 2015 Color of the Year ~ MARSALA

Sunday, January 18, 2015

FINALLY!  In 2015 you won’t have to wait until autumn to break out those warm deep colors that you absolutely love.

MARSALA IS HERE!

Marsala can be described as a reddish amber, wine color that goes great with darker colors and warm skin tones.

This deep earth tone color embodies sophistication, elegance and warmth.  Whether worn as a nice evening dress, or worn on the lips, eyes, or nails – this color will make a bold statement however you choose to wear it!

Marsala "enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability," says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

I personally love this shade and I think Pantone did a great job at choosing Marsala as the “it” color for 2015.  I just recently took a look through my closet and noticed a plethora of deep reds, ambers and wine colors.  I think these darker shades look especially great on medium to deep skin tones as these colors tend to really accentuate darker features.  Marsala is such a multifaceted color that it compliments fair to light skin tones as well and everyone can benefit from this color!

Finally!  In 2015 you won’t have to wait until autumn to break out those warm deep colors that you absolutely love.

Until next time....Stay Beautiful & Keep it Humble!
