Demi-Lee's questions for me:

1. What inspired you to come up with the name for your blog?
HumbleBeauty is the name of my blog and I believe that humility is a beautiful thing....
A lot of people may think that humility is weakness, but humility is strength and takes courage.  The name HumbleBeauty literally just popped into my head out of nowhere one day and its stuck with me ever since.

2. If you could choose between living in black and white or color, what would you choose? And why?
I would have to choose color because color always brightens up my day!  I love to color block my outfits and during the Spring and Summer, I love bright colors for my outfits and lipsticks as well....Black and white just wouldn't do it for me!

3. What is your favorite Autumn lipstick?
I am currently loving Black Cherry by Milani.  It is a lovely dark color that is perfect for Fall.
Black Cherry has been my favorite color this season.

4. Do you wish to turn blogging into a career or keep it as a hobby?
I would LOVE to turn blogging into a career!  I love coming up with new blogging ideas and creating fun posts...It would be a dream come true to be able to have a career that I absolutely love!

5. If you could choose between fast forwarding time or rewinding time, what would you choose? And why?
That's a hard one...but I would say rewind time only because I have lost some loved ones and I would give anything to go back in time and spend just one more day with them.....

6. If you could swap lives with any celebrity for the day, who would you swap lives with?
Beyoncé!  I choose Beyoncé because not only do I love her music, but I love her style and the fact that she is a career woman, wife and mother all at the same time.  I know she travels the world every day and I would love to see how that lifestyle feels!

7. If you were given three wishes, what would they be?
*To have healing hands that heal disease, sickness, cancer, etc.
*To be a full time successful blogger
*To travel the world

8. Which season of the year is your favorite? And why?
I love Spring!  Spring is my favorite season because my birthday is in May, but I especially love the nice weather.  The sun is out, but its not too hot and I love the flowers during the Spring...

9. If you had to choose a story that best describes your life, what story would it be?
To be honest, there is not a story that's already been written that best describes my life.  I would have to write my own story to best describe my life.  There's just too much to say and the story of my life is still being written.....

10. What social media site do you use the most? Twitter!

Hello to all my beauty lovers and fellow Fashionistas!

You all know how I love tags, so I was excited to be tagged by the lovely Shayy Ramos from My Curves and Lashes in this fun tag.  Thank you so much for tagging me and here we go!!!

 

 

 

~~ The Lip Product Addict Tag ~~

 

 

1. Favorite Balm or Treatment

I am currently loving Maybelline's Baby Lips and I love all of their colors!  These products keep my lips moisturized and feeling so soft, especially during the winter when my lips get the driest...I think I have every color/flavor in these!

 

2. Best Eye-Catching Red

Oh how I LOVE a red lip and its a tie!!  Can we say RUBY WOO by MAC and RUSSIAN RED by MAC!!

3. Best Luxury & Best Drugstore Lip Product

OK I must admit....I do not have any "luxury" lip products.  The most high end lipsticks that I own would have to be from MAC if you consider those to be luxury??  Now I do have a ton of drugstore brand lip products and they never let me down.  My best drugstore lip product would have to be my NUDE LUST lipstick by Maybelline.  I have been obsessing over nude lips lately and I know the Fall is coming, but I'm not afraid to rock a nude lip in the Fall!

4. Best MAC Lipstick

I am currently loving HEROINE by MAC.  This color is the perfect purple shade for me and I purchased this color for my mother and she loves it as well.  I think this color is the perfect shade for Fall, especially if you love the color purple.

5. Most Disappointing Lip Product

I must say that I am not a big fan of the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade COMPLEX.  I purchased this product in search of a nice nude shade to add to my collection, however this product is so drying and chalky on my lips that even a lip gloss could not save the day....Needless to say, this product was very disappointing to me.

6. Lip Liner - Yes or No?

Yes, I am definitely a lip liner girl and I find myself using lip liner more and more these days.  More now than in the past....

7. Favorite Gloss

So I am still on the hunt for the perfect lip gloss, but I will always be a fan of Maybelline's Wet Slicks Fruit Spritzers!

~~ The Make Up Tag ~~

 

Hello beautiful ladies and any gentlemen who may be reading!! 

I have been tagged by the lovely +Caledonian Kitty from caledoniankitty.blogspot.com to do ~~ The Make Up Tag.  I absolutely love tags so thank you so much CaledonianKitty for tagging me! 
My answers are below:


Q1.  What Foundation Do You Use?

 I usually do not wear foundation, I use a CC cream ~ Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream in Medium Dark.  LOVE IT!!  If I absolutely must wear foundation for any reason, then I will use the Revlon Color Stay in Toast.

Q2.  How About Concealer?

I am currently loving the Maybelline Dreamlumi Touch Highlighting Concealer.  This highlighting pen works magic and I love it!

Q3.  What do you think of Fake Eyelashes?

 I have tried to use fake eyelashes time after time and I still cannot get it right!! LOL

Q4.  What Brand Of Mascara Do You Use?

 I use the Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express

Q5.  Sephora or Mac?

 100% Sephora!  I love Mac lipsticks, however I am not a big fan of their make up products only because I had a bad experience with Mac products in the past, a horrible breakout after using it.  Sephora has a variety of different products and brands to choose from and I absolutely love Sephora!

Q6.  What Make Up Tools Do You Use In Application?

 I have a couple of Elf brushes for my eye shadows and a Sephora brush that I use for my CC Cream.  I use these brushes on a regular basis.  I also use sponges for my concealer. 

 

Q7.  Do you use Make Up Base/Eyeshadow primer for the eyes?

 I alternate between the Maybelline Baby Skin and the Benefit Pore fessional Pro balm.  These products both work well as a base under my CC Cream and my foundation.

Q8.  What is your Fave Eyeshadow/Colour/Shade?

 I am not too big on eye shadows and I am currently learning how to use eye shadows.  I NEED HELP!! LOL.  But when I do use eye shadows, I stick to the basics like neutral/nude colors for now....

Q9.  What do you think of Pigment Eyeshadows?

 I think pigmented colors on the eyes are gorgeous and henceforth why I want to learn more about eye shadow application.  I think eye color is gorgeous!

Q10.  What is your Fave Lipstick?

I can't get enough of Maybelline's Nude Lust!  My fav!

Q11.  What is your Fave Blusher to use?

 I currently do not use blush.....

Q12.   Do you like drugstore Make Up?

 Yes, of course I like drugstore make up!

Revlon and Maybelline are my top brands that I use....

Q13.  Name a Make Up crime you hate?

The Cake Face is a crime!  Too much foundation, too much bronzer, too much blush, too much concealer....Just TOO MUCH is a crime!

Q14.  Do you like colorful shades of Make Up (Lipstick, Eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

 I switch between the two.  During the warmer summer months, I love colorful bright colored lips and eyes.  During the Fall and Winter I lean towards the neutral.

Q15.  If you could leave the house with just One Make Up Item what would it be?

 I must have some sort of lip balm or lip color with me at all times!

Q16.  Could you leave the house without any Make Up on?

 Yes, I have done it before but very rarely!!

Q17.  In your opinion what is the best Make Up Line?

 Wow, this is a hard one....I really do not have an answer for this one, but there are so many GREAT lines out there, it's really hard for me to pick the best.  I love Smashbox, Maybelline, Revlon, Benefit....I could go on and on!

Q18.   What do you think of Make Up?

I think make up is fun and beautiful.  I do believe that too much make up or the "cake face" as they call it is NOT attractive.  Make up should be used to enhance one's beauty, not to cover up or try to change features.

Hi Guys!!  Greetings from HumbleBeauty on this LOVELY day!!

 

 I read an article earlier in the week that Kim Kardashian is releasing a book of "Selfies" with random pictures of herself....I have never heard of such a thing....all I can do is shake my head, and I have no other words for that! LOL

 

So I was riding in my car the other day on the way home from work and a crazy random idea popped into my brain...The first thing I thought was "SELFIE" so I decided to do a blog post sharing some of my favorite selfies that I have of myself....Not a book, but a blog post (smile).  Then I thought, it would be cool to be able to see selfies of other bloggers and share the blogging love showing off selfies!  So I decided to come up with a "SELFIE Tag" where bloggers share some of their selfies and tell a little about themselves in the tag.  What a great way to get to know more about each other and share cool pics in the process. 

 

After all, we bloggers absolutely love pictures don't we!! 

Since I decided to start this SELFIE Tag, I will be the first to get this thing going...

  So here we go!
