This Academy Award Winner has taken Hollywood by storm, not only with her amazing performance in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave, but her unique look and polished style has landed her the 2014 title of The Most Beautiful Woman by People.  Lupita Nyong'o indeed knows how to work the Red Carpet and steal the show at any event.  Her new face and trendy style is one that will always be remembered....I absolutely adore her!

Throwback Thursday ~ AS IF!!!

 

 

 

 

What's up guys!  I don't know about you all, but I am ready for the weekend, Yes Indeed!!  And these weeks are flying by too fast.  We're already into the second week of July and before you know it our Summer will be gone, and I'm gonna enjoy this sun while it lasts!

 

So who remembers this movie ~ Clueless!  OMGEEEEE, guys this is one of my all time favorites and I remember I was a teenager when this movie came out.  This movie has humor, fashion, style, and even a unique lesson at the end if I might add.....Alicia Silverstone was too funny in this movie and she played the character "Cher" very well.  The role fit her perfectly.  And do you remember her closet? OMG guys!  Closet was an understatement.  LOL..

 

 

 

 

 

So this movie came out back in the late 90s, so check out the style ~ the huge cell phones, the colors, the make-up and hair....How much of a difference is there from then and now when it comes to fashion and style?  Its obvious that styles come and go, but trends from the 90s have definitely made their way back into current day with color blocking, crop tops, and high waisted pants only to name a few......

So I went to a wedding on Sunday afternoon and I wore this new dress I recently purchased from H&M.  The weather has been super hot here lately, and thankfully the wedding was not outdoors because the heat and I do not mix.....unless I am by a pool or the beach or something!!

I absolutely love wedges.  I love wearing heels, but as we all know, heels can be quite uncomfortable when you wear them for a long period of time.  I can wear wedges for hours in a day with no pain at all.  I love the shoes from Forever 21.  They always have a wide variety that I love choosing from.  I have a variety of flats, heels, wedges, sandals, and boots from Forever 21!

 

 

 

 

My very own version of the Celine bag!  No I cannot afford a bag that costs thousands of dollars, but this one is so cute and it reminds me of the Celine bag....Close enough!! For now...LOL

So here we are....A new week, new opportunities, new endeavors, a fresh start if I must say.  Everyday is a fresh start if you think about it.  I really love the above quote..

How many times have we heard the famous saying, "there's nothing to it but to do it." We all have gifts and talents to share with the world and this huge world is waiting.....We all have something to offer.  Something special to offer.

 

This quote Dream IT. Wish IT. Do It.  has become of my favorites because it says a lot in only a few words.  The fact that there are periods after each "It" signifies that you must Dream It, period ~ no questions asked.  Wish it, period ~ no questions asked.  And most importantly, DO IT PERIOD with NO questions asked. 

 

There's nothing greater in this world than to live out your hopes and dreams as a reality.  To be successful in every area of your life ~ career, health, finances, spirit, & emotions.  To be the very best YOU....We can achieve whatever we set our minds to do.  We all have that power to reign in life, and all we have to do is....

Summer Splurgin ~~ Did Someone Say SALE!!!!!!

 

 

 

Hi Guys!  Hope you all had a great holiday weekend full of good food and summer fun!! 

 

So I made a quick stop at EXPRESS the other day just to see what they had going on for the summer and I saw the magic word....SALE!!  I'm talking 50-70% off of items, plus a huge clearance rack full of summer gear!  Well, I was strong.....I had my mind set that I was going in there for a pair of white shorts and that was it!  I also had coupons that I received in the mail, so I went into this store with my mind set on one goal guys!  White shorts and white shorts only!!  :-)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well......I did find a pair of white shorts, and a nice pair of orchid colored shorts as well!  These were on SALE marked down several times.  You know EXPRESS can be a little on the pricey side (pricey for my budget at least, I'm speaking for myself here) so these shorts were once $49.90, marked down to $39.99, then to $29.99, plus there was another reduction at the register, so the final price I paid for these were $19.99 each!  So I had to get two pair, come on....LOL

 

 

 

 

I also picked up this nice black bag from EXPRESS, which unfortunately was not on SALE, but I needed another everyday black bag, so I grabbed it.  It was $59.90 and its great for a regular everyday handbag, black goes with everything.  It also has a lot of space inside, so I am happy with this purchase, whether it was on SALE or not!  :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Lastly, I made a purchase on Amazon.com a few days ago and I finally received it in the mail. I really wanted a light color handbag, like a white or beige color and I ran across this bag below.  I was so excited to order it because this bag reminds me of the Celine bag.  I did a post on the lovely Celine bag a week or so ago and I have the link below in case you missed it....

I love Celine bags so much, but of course my budget cannot fit a bag that costs thousands of dollars, so when I saw this bag, I immediately thought ~ this looks kind of like a Celine bag!  Of course it is no where near being a Celine bag, and I wish the size were a little bit larger, but I love the look/style and the color is what I was going for.  I especially like the pop of color added around the front handle.  It almost looks as though the handle is wrapped in a scarf like material.  This bag is also 100% Genuine Leather and it sold for $99.00.  I'm in love!

Lunch Hour Botox? Yikes!!!

 

Hello again!!  Halfway through the week and a holiday coming up on Friday!  Do you have any special plans for the 4th of July?  Barbecues....Sun...Fun....

If you haven't checked out the latest edition of Vogue, definitely do so.  This is a great summer read and it even has some sneak peaks into this year's Fall fashion as well. 

 

One particular article that caught my attention is the article on page 72 entitled "Rush Hour" ~ Laser Facials, Light Therapy - and even Botox in a flash.  L.A.'s new speed spas are the latest in and out beauty.

 

The article highlights three different L.A. spas that specialize in these services "on the go."  You can literally take a lunch break and go get a quickie plastic surgery treatment and then head back to work!  I mean, are you really surprised?  In our day and time everything is quick and in a hurry anyway, so why not this? 

 

What do you guys think?  Plastic Surgery and Botox, etc. all seem to be a touchy subject and everyone has their own opinion so tell me what you think.  First of all, what are your views on Botox and Plastic Surgery...Secondly, would you trust a surgeon performing such procedures "on the go?"

 

 

 

 

I personally would not invest my time or money into these types of surgeries, however if I did, I definitely would not get something as serious as this quick fast and in a hurry!  I would want the surgeon to take his precious time and cross all the Ts and dot all the Is!  What do you think?
