To this....
Let's Begin!!!
This is how my hair looks in its natural state and when I am in dying need of a shampoo. Its time for a wash, so I decided to take some pics and show you my usual hair routine. Nothing fancy here. Just the basic - shampoo, condition, moisturize, and blow dry. Simple as 1..2..3.. right?
I recently purchased the Dove Advanced Hair Series ~ Quench Absolute For Curly, Course Hair and I must admit, I LOVE these products! I consider my hair to be course and curly and this product works amazingly for my hair. I love the smell also. Sometimes for me its hard to find a shampoo that doesn't dry out my hair and leave it feeling tangled and matted in the shower. With this product, I was able to shampoo with ease and my hair felt soft and detangled in the shower. It was like I could run my fingers through my hair to detangle! Like magic for someone with my hair type. The Dove brand has some really good products and if you have hair similar to my texture and you are looking for a good shampoo and conditioner to use, I highly recommend these products. Trust me, they do work well for course and curly hair!
After shampooing and conditioning in the shower, I always detangle using a wide tooth comb. I detangle while in the shower, but I follow up with a comb through after I get out of the shower as well.
I then use a leave in conditioner or moisturizer of choice and then comb through to evenly distribute the product. I usually use Cantu Argon Oil Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream or Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I typically alternate between the two.
Nice and creamy product that leaves my hair feeling soft.....
I always concentrate on my ends
And then I lock in the moisture with good 'ole Olive Oil! A natural product that works wonders for natural hair....
And Voila!
Shampooed, Conditioned, Detangled, and Moisturized!
Next, I section my hair off and then proceed with blow drying.
The blow drying process can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes for me.
Brushing the hair with a paddled brush and applying heat is what straightens the hair shaft
Can you spot that little gray strand that has been there since I was born...
LOL
I like using this Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine serum after blow drying. It leaves my hair soft with a bit of shine!
I do not flat iron my hair after a wash and blow dry, only because I like my hair to look full with a bit of texture. I always sleep with my hair wrapped at night and in the mornings I am good to go!
Finished look!
Hope you all enjoyed!!
:)
Until Next Time......
xoxo
