~ My Perfect Imperfections ~

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

Hello again my beautiful people!!  Once again we meet and once again I have a little something on my mind that I wanted to share with you all.....

So today I wanted to touch on a very touchy topic, especially when it comes to us women and how we view ourselves compared to society.  A topic that we never like to admit or face up to.  A topic that we wish would just plain and simply ~ GO AWAY......

~ IMPERFECTIONS ~

Who really notices our own imperfections more than we do ourselves?  How many times have we pointed out something that we didn't like physically about ourselves to a friend, yet the friend never even noticed the imperfection until you said something in the first place.  Sometimes we can be our very own worst critic!

That is why I have decided to declare that all of my imperfections are indeed perfect, and these perfect imperfections are what makes me unique in my very own way!  I even made a list of a few of my perfect imperfections because I now embrace these qualities about myself and I'm not afraid to let the world know!!

~ PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS ~

1. Super Hairy....
This can be a good thing if you love long, thick, flowing hair...However, when hair grows EVERYWHERE from sideburns to chin, it gets a bit annoying!  I have to shave my legs every single day and if I miss a day my body is like a forest....I can not count the amount of money I spend monthly on waxing.  But we have to do what we have to do right??  Sometimes I feel like Big Foot!! But a cute version of Big Foot of course!  :)

2.  Acne Prone Skin....
For as long as I can remember, I have had acne prone skin.  My pores clog very easily and the least little thing can make me break out....For that reason, I have developed a daily and nightly skin care routine that works for me.  Even though I love make-up and beauty, I have to limit the amount of make up I wear because of my skin problems.  I'm actually in the middle of a break-out right now!  Ugh.....

3.  Under eye bags....
Oh the joy!  Honestly, I believe I was born with the bags under my eyes because when I look back at childhood baby pictures, I see them!!  I don't know if they are actually bags, but it's just a large puffy area, mostly under my right eye, so I consider them bags.  If I don't get enough sleep, they are even worse...Concealer and cc cream usually does a good job at covering them...

4.  Shape of my nose....
I remember when I was younger I was called names like "big nose" and "Rudolph" and the bullying just wouldn't stop!  I'm telling you kids can be cruel.  At one point in my life I even considered saving up money for a nose job!  Thank God I came to my senses and realized that my nose is not as bad as I think.  It makes me unique and I've actually grown into my nose as an adult.  Even though I have learned to accept my nose, its still not perfect and I do consider it one of my perfection imperfections.

5.  Cellulite.....
Need I explain!

I'm curious to know if any of you share any of the same imperfections or if you are comfortable talking about it?  I know this can be a touchy topic for some, but we all are beautiful and unique human beings.  Every little characteristic and trait, whether we like it or not, makes up who we are.
I am truly convinced that we are ALL beautiful!!

Until next time....Stay Beautiful & Keep it Humble!

  2. Sometimes, people try to pick at our imperfections because they feel bad about themselves. Have you notice that most of the bullies are unattractive and they want you to feel that way. I am surprised that you felt bad about your nose because there is nothing wrong with it at all. I like this post because we all have these feelings even though we don't voice it at times. I find that self love is the best love we can have.
