Guest Blog Post Featuring OOTD by Ines!!

Hello readers!

My name is Ines and I am the author of the life style blog ‘Me, Myself and Ines’.
Let’s get right into my OOTD!

I’ve always been the type to stay up to date on the latest fashion trends.
I enjoy putting on a full face of makeup and going out on the weekend!
As a 1st grade teacher, I didn’t want to lose this part of myself. So every
morning I try to create an outfit to wear to work that is a happy balance
between professionalism, what you’d find in the latest issue of Cosmo
and something that allows me to kneel and sit on the floor while
working with young children.

Here is a little peak into just one of those outfits!

I always try to incorporate a little bit of color into my outfits. This blue is
bright enough to stand out but not too bright where it belongs in a club
as opposed to a school. Wearing a bright color helps my students be able
to see me at all times out on the playground as well as in the hallway.
Today I have decided to pair my blue cami to a matching blue bag.

Blue Cami: Marshalls

This bag is one of my favorites! It’s big enough for me to throw my lunch
into it as well as keep my planner, wallet and other bag essentials. I love
that I can wear it over the shoulder or cross body on some days and in
the hand or over the elbow on other days.

Now that it’s getting a little colder over here in Boston, a sweater is
essential for every day. At the moment, this is one of my FAVORITES!
The sleeves are 2/3 lengths and it’s over sized. Not only is it warm, its
also completely cozy and totally in. I see tribal sweaters like this all over
instagram as well as in magazines and on TV.

Also an essential for autumn in Boston are fleece leggings. Leggings are
something that most people consider unprofessional or a bit too tight
and inappropriate. By pairing them with a long top that covers my back
and front side as well as a pair of tall boots, the leggings become hidden
behind the pop of color and oversized sweater.

Now I’m able to kneel, squat and sit down with my students, move freely
around my classroom and also keep warm and comfortable!

These are my favorite pair of boots! They’re professional, have a heel,
and the perfect shade of brown. Although my sweater has black tribal
marks, they flatter this outfit because of the blue and tan complimentary
colors. Believe it or not, they are so comfortable!

Yes, that’s a chicken coop behind me. Yes, those are chickens. And yes, I live
in New England. You should see what else we have….

The last part that completes my outfit is makeup. I like to apply a light
shade of blush, a little bit of bronzer, mascara and keep to a nude lip. All
my products are from the mac store and I throw on something light
because I simply love make up. This step is absolutely optional, but
because of my die-hard love of make up, I can’t leave the house without it.

I throw on a bangle to decorate my wrist and some chandelier earrings
to compliment my bun, and I’m out the door. I have extremely long hair,
so by keeping it in a clean bun, not only does it flatter my entire outfit, it
also allows me to move freely around the room with my students.

You don’t have to have a lot of money to create and expensive and
tasteful looking outfit. As a teacher, you also don’t have to rely on only
wearing black dress pants and solid color t-shirts. It’s all about staying
true to yourself, mix and matching pieces from your closet and creating
something you would wear outside of the work environment.

Thanks a lot for having me featured on your blog Tab! I’ve really
enjoyed every minute of it!

You can find me on my blog, as well as instagram and twitter!

Until next time..
